Welcome! I’m Maria, a dedicated and compassionate therapist helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and cultivate emotional well-being. My approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing.

I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. My undergraduate degree is from Penn State University in Health and Human Development. I served 22 years in the United States Army working with the infantry, aviation, and special forces command. I also served back-to-back deployments to Iraq during operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). As a counselor I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients, including those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship issues, and major life transitions. I am also an EMDR trained therapist.

I use an integrated approach to therapy, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of my clients. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, humanistic, psychodynamic, and a variety of other therapies. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to identify your strengths, explore underlying issues, and develop strategies for coping and resilience.

Whether you’re seeking short-term support or long-term therapy, my goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your feelings and thoughts, build self-awareness, and develop the tools necessary for leading a more fulfilling and balanced life. I look forward to the privilege and opportunity to work with you!
